Success Story: Anthony
Huge congratulations to Anthony who is now a registered state and national EMT!!
Anthony, an Army veteran, credits his ability to complete his training for becoming an emergency medical technician to having reliable transportation. Prior to receiving his vehicle, Anthony was not sure he could successfully complete the program due to the strict punctuality guidelines for class that are not achievable with public transportation.
Anthony is now looking for a new job in his chosen profession and has recently been accepted into the Bachelors of Public Policy & Administration at St. Petersburg Community College. He will graduate this spring. He is also an active volunteer with the Little League, where he serves as a district safety officer – a volunteer opportunity not possible without transportation due to baseball fields located throughout the district.
According to Anthony, “It’s amazing what reliable transportation can do for someone and their self-esteem!”
